Haiti Benefit for Partners in Health and Edeyo at the Upstairs (Kimberly Hotel)- February 4, 2010

Prior to the official launch of Network 355 on April 7th, 2010 at the Friar’s Club, our team had been involved in promoting humanitarian causes through Mednik Events- event planning company, created by Network 355 founding member Olga Mednik. Since 2008 Mednik Events has organized a wide variety of afterwork cocktail parties that aimed to promote world cultures as well as several fundraisers for Team Continuum, Doctors without Borders, Edeyo, Partners in Health and others.

 

On February 4th, 2010 Mednik Events produced a fundraiser for Haiti benefiting Partners in Health and Edeyo. The event was realized at Manhattan’s newest rooftop lounge – The Upstairs (Penthouse of the Kimberly Hotel) at 145 East 50th Street, New York, NY. The event featured multi award-winning pop singer/songwriter Sinem Saniye and music by DJ Jean Michel.

About Partners in Health:

Founded in 1987, Partners in Health (PIH) is an international organization based in Boston, Massachusetts that works in a total of 12 countries, delivering quality health care to people and communities devastated by joint burdens of poverty and disease.  PIH has been providing vital health care services in Haiti for more than 20 years and is the largest healthcare provider in the country, with a total of 4,000 employees – including over 100 doctors and 600 nurses.

About Edeyo:

Edeyo is an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the future of children in Haiti by rebuilding dilapidated schools, supplying students with learning materials, and providing them with nutritional support. The Edeyo Team is a group of dedicated professionals from various backgrounds who all share the same passion to empower Haitian youth.
