Doctors without borders at Touch- April 24, 2008

Prior to the official launch of Network 355 on April 7th, 2010 at the Friar’s Club, our team had been involved in promoting humanitarian causes through Mednik Events- event planning company, created by Network 355 founding member Olga Mednik. Since 2008 Mednik Events has organized a wide variety of afterwork cocktail parties that aimed to promote world cultures as well as several fundraisers for Team Continuum, Doctors without Borders, Edeyo, Partners in Health and others.

On April 24th, 2008 Mednik Events produced a fundraiser benefiting the medical humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). The event was realized at club Touch, located at 240 West 52nd Street and was sponsored by Elle magazine,The Kimberly Hotel, Equinox Sports Clubs, Kunduru Music, Team Continuum, Ito En, Great Jones Spa and Marilyn Modeling Agency. The U.S Manager of the Campaign for Access to Essential Medicines at Doctors Without Borders Dr. Buddhima Lokuge personally addressed the attendees. The speech was followed with a photo slide presentation by Dima Gavrysh a photo correspondent, who has traveled with Doctors Without Borders and captured some of the most striking images.

The evening’s entertainment was highlighted with live performances by Russian born singer/songwriter Polina Goudieva and International Recording Artist, Sylvia Tosun, while DJ Anton Bass kept the night upbeat and alive. The evening was further enhanced by a fashion show presenting the works of Fashion Designer, Delirius, showcased by models from Marilyn Modeling Agency.
